Job Details: DIRECTOR COMMUNICATIONS – UAE NATIONALS ONLY

Our client, a semi - government organization based in Dubai is looking to recruit a Director Communications to direct and manage the Communications activities, taking overall responsibility for achieving its goals, consolidating the performance, and facilitating unified reporting to the Director General on all matters relating to internal and external communications.

• Oversee and evaluate budgetary control in areas of advertising, promotions, event management and marketing.
• Prepare Annual budget in coordination with the finance team.
• Develop and implement strategic goals and objectives
• Set overall procedures and standards.
• Liaise with CEOs and public interest groups.
• Oversee the marketing, public relations and event management activities.
• Control and monitor the development of public relations and communications, internal newsletters, articles and print media.
• Plan and ensure participation in international and national events
• Oversee market and industry trends and evaluate competitive marketing communications and public relations strategies.
• Ensure effective utilization of marketing communications and public relations resources within assigned budget.
• Advises on and negotiates contracts, framework agreements with CEOs and cooperative arrangements with advertising agencies, PR firms and other communications service vendors as delegated.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Marketing Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations or equivalent from a recognized University.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a managerial role
• Experience in Advertising and Event Management desired.

• Excellent relationship management, planning an time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven experience in Staff Development and Strategic Planning skills
• Proficiency in written and spoken Arabic and English
