Job Description One of our prestigious clients an investment organization is looking to recruit a well qualified Director of Finance. The incumbent is responsible for managing and coordinating of the Finance Department core functions and developing, recommending and executing the overall financial strategy, budgeting and management control and ensuring the effective and efficient management of financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate the development of short and long-term financial forecasts and related operating budgets.
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements and reports and special analysis and present recommendations to senior management vis-à-vis progress and key performance indicators.
  • Advise and contribute to the development of financial strategy and ensure that the mission and values are maintained throughout the process.
  • Responsible for assessing and quantifying the financial impact of new value creating opportunities.
  • Liaise with and contribute to providing expert advice to various business units on issues relating to financial management, demonstrating judgment and understanding of business and ensuring that all external reporting and compliance obligations are fulfilled.
  • Support the development of corporate opportunities and expansion strategies in business and products closely related to current business to create additional shareholder value.
  • Advise on financial management strategies by developing and proposing optimum value-creating capital structures.
  • Responsible for accounting and financial management systems and procedures and maintenance of all standards and practices and its continuous improvement.
  • Overseeing team performance and monitoring work of subordinates with a view to achieving departmental goals.
  • Assist and advise CFO in strategic planning with the objective of increasing profitability.
  • Manage the overall budgeting and reporting processes and it’s subsidiaries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage finance and central accounts team with a vision to create a strong culture of excellence and customer focus.
Key Attributes
  • Masters degree in Finance or Economics with 6-8 years of work experience
  • Computer literacy including the use of economic and financial models, spreadsheets, database systems and presentation software.
  • Inclination and ability for business analysis with good time and project management skills.
  • Good written and spoken English skills.
  • Customer Service oriented and a team leader
  • Flexible and have a good analytical thinking
Salary AED 40000
