Our client, a diversified group company in Dubai have an urgent requirement for an experienced Litigation Lawyer to join their team.

The purpose of the role is to ensure the interests of the organisation are protected at all times and the company is represented professionally.  Maintaining the best possible outcome and result for all disputes. 

• Counsels Senior Management to avoid legally unsound decisions or plans and when changes in the law occur.
• Supervises preparation of the defense in litigation.  Works with outside counsel to develop the defense, briefs and guides them and supervises their work. 
  
• Directs outside counsel on whether a case should be tried or settled.
• May be required to make court appearances and ensure the preparation of legal motions and negotiations.
• Provides research, legal analysis, factual information,  counsel and guidance on legal questions or issues.  
• Prepares position papers on various legal issues and interpretation of contractual provisions.
• Trains department staff on appropriate procedures
  
• Works with external clients while resolving legal issues.  Responds to government regulatory agencies.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
  

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Law.
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years litigation experience, preferably with experience in the UAE.
• Previous experience in Property and Real Estate disputes will be an advantage.
• Advanced knowledge of the theories, principles, practices and procedures of litigation management is required.
• Strong negotiation, consultative and facilitation skills.
• Provide and exercise independent judgment while ensuring sensitive information is managed appropriately.
  
• Fluency in English and Arabic is essential.
