We have an urgent requirement for a Director - Intelligent Traffic Systems to join our client, a reputed Government Public Services organisation in Dubai.

The purpose of the role is lead the Intelligence Traffic Systems Department, creating an achievement oriented working environment and encouraging excellence in the Traffic Systems of the UAE.

• Strategic planning and setting of long and short term objectives.
• Creating financial forecasts and budgetary requirements, implementing annual budgets.
• Reviewing current processes and information systems and suggesting improvements.
• Delegation of duties to Sectional Managers, ensuring that hardware, software, infrastructure and human resources are being effectively managed.
• Ensuring integrated intelligent traffic systems to ensure road safety
• Promoting innovative safety solutions developed by the department.
• Speaking at conferences, engagements and industry events.
• Promotion of the safety solutions developed by the department.
• Responsible for Traffic System Design and Implementation
• Direct pertinent and robust Traffic System Implementation
• Manage via Process owners stringent Traffic System Maintenance
• Periodically meet with ITS Consultants and Contractors,internal process owners and management
• Work closely with Government Entities to facilitate implementation
• Process owner of Health, Safety, Communication, Information Management and Quality Excellence.

• Masters Degree in Traffic and Highway Engineering
• Knowledge in Management of Engineering products.
• Thorough knowledge of Intelligent Traffic Systems and Electronic Toll Collection System Technology.
• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication skills, fluency in English is essential.
